January 15 - March 18 - Radical Together - Beginning Sunday, January 15,
Dwayne Lewis, our Minister of Missions, will lead worship on Sunday evenings. His topic will be a study of the book,
Radical Together: Unleashing the People of God for the Purpose of God, by David Platt.
February 5-26 - Spiritual
Gifts Study - Beginning Sunday evening, February 5, Danny
Davidson will teach a six-week study entitled Spiritual Gifts: A Practical
Guide to How God Works Through You. Whether you are a new Christian who
desires to learn your spiritual gifts or a long time Christian who is long-experienced
in church, this study will help you gain marvelous new insights about how the
church works best when all members serve out of their giftedness. The class will
meet in Room 214 each Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
February 5-26 - Beginner's Sign Language Class - A six week beginner’s sign language class will
begin Sunday, February 5, at 4:30 p.m. in Room 1101. Contact Chrissy Crimm at
in the church office if you are interested.
February 11 - Senior Adult Valentine Party - All Senior Adults are invited to celebrate Valentine's Day on Saturday, February 11, at 11:00 a.m. in the Salt House. We are
asking a $5.00 donation to help cover the meal. Entertainment will be the Trademark Trio and our drama team, Calvary in Motion. Please make reservations by calling the church office by February 9.
February 11 - Parents Night Out - Our students are hosting a Parents Night Out to help raise funds
for their upcoming Puerto Rico mission trip. They are offering childcare at the
church on Saturday, February 11, from 4:30 - 9:00 p.m. In addition to our youth,
there will be adult supervision. Fun activities and a meal will be provided! How
awesome is that! Enjoy an evening with your sweetheart and know your kiddos will
be well taken care of. The cost is only $10 per child with a family maximum of $25. This event is
by reservation only, and the deadline to make that reservation is Thursday,
February 9, by 4:30 p.m. Call the church office today to make your reservation.
February 12 - Teacher Appreciation Luncheon - There will a Preschool and Children's Sunday
School Teachers Appreciation Luncheon on Sunday, February 12, at 12:15 p.m. in
the Family Life Center with a brief meeting to follow! We love our teachers!!!
February 12 - Awana Sparks Drive-In Movie Night - Sunday, February 12, will be the Sparks Drive–In Movie Night!! Sparks should come to club with their car creations and park them in the Salt House! Even if you don’t have a car, you can sit with someone else in their car! We will see a movie and enjoy snacks! Call the church office if you have any questions.
February 18 - Red Cross Shelter Training - FBCJ is a Red Cross certified disaster shelter. In an emergency, trained individuals will be needed. New volunteers, as well as
those with previous training, are invited to a 3-part training program from 9:00 a.m.
until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February, 18 in the Salt House. Classes include Orientation, Shelter
Operations and Disaster Simulation. Lunch will be provided. If you would like to participate, please contact Mike Orrick (974-5322) or Pop Latham (347-2003) as soon as possible.
February 26 - Backwards Night - Wear all of your clothes backward for a fun night at club.
February 27 - Women's Mission Worship Service - Sherry Williams and a group from our church
conduct a Worship Service on the fourth Monday night each month at the Women's
Mission. Anyone who would like to participate is welcome to join them Monday,
February 27, at 7:00 p.m. Contact Sherry at 429-1362 for more information.
March 11 - Daylight Saving Time Begins - Remember to set your clocks forward one hour before going to bed on March 10.
March 16-17 - Knowing You Women's Retreat (Montgomery Bell State Park) - FBCJ will host a women's retreat Friday night and Saturday, March 16 and 17, at Montgomery Bell State Park Inn & Conference Center in Burns, TN. What an exciting opportunity for our women as Linda Carol Royalty shares a Bible study entitled Knowing You. Reserve your spot today by calling the church office or Sunday mornings at the sanctuary Welcome Center. Registration deadline is February 10.
March 18 - Ushers and Greeters Training - A mandatory training session for all ushers and greeter will be held on Sunday, March 18, at 3:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.
March 26 - Youth Spaghetti Lunch -The annual youth-sponsored fundraiser will follow each
morning service. All proceeds go toward summer camp and activities. (NOTE: Date pending kitchen renovation completion.)
March 30-31 - Swap 'Til You Drop - Ladies, it's time again to clear out the gently used clothes you no longer love and swap them for something more exciting without exchanging a penny! The FBCJ Women's Ministry will host a Swap 'Til You Drop event in the Family Life Center from 9:00 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31. Clothing (juniors and women's sizes) and accessories (coats, shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc.) must be dropped off on Friday, March 30, between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. (Note: All clothes must be on hangers.) Receive tickets for the items
you bring and return on Saturday morning from 9 to 11 to swap them for items others have brought.
March 31 - Awana Games - The Awana Games will be held in Clarksville again this year on Saturday,
March 31. More details will be coming to your clubbers soon! Practices will begin in late February into March.
April 1 - Palm Sunday
April 6 - Good Friday Service - A representative from Jews for Jesus will lead us through a Passover Seder meal.
April 8 - Easter Sunday - Special morning worship times 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Plan to join for our Easter celebration!
April 18 - Children Camp Dessert Auction - We will have our annual Dessert Auction on Wednesday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Donated desserts will be auctioned to help defray the cost for campers and provide additional funds for scholarships.
June 4-8 Vacation Bible School - The dates for VBS are June 4-8! Our theme this year is Amazing Wonders Aviation. Mark your calendars, save these dates and be sure to join us as we travel the globe in search of fun and adventure! Friday night is Family Night!
June 21-25 - Centri-Kid Camp - The dates for CentriKid Children’s camp, for children who have
completed 3rd to 6th grade, will be June 21–25. Camp will be held at Ridgecrest
Conference Center in North Carolina. You can get your child's name on the camp
list by calling the church office or sign them up at the welcome counter in THE
LOFT. Hurry, as there are limited spots available!! A $50 non-refundable deposit is
due by the first of February. Total cost for camp will be $300.
June 22-30 - World Changers Puerto Rico Mission Trip - This
exciting World Changers missions opportunity is available for high school students (grades
9 -12). See the Student Ministry page for more details.
July 15-21 - World Changers Chicago Mission Trip - This mission opportunity is open to all youth (grades 6 - 12). The total cost is $280 per student. See the Student Ministry page for more details.
