The senior adult ministry is made up of two groups that meet separately
but work together supporting our church in its mission of
"impacting our communities with the hope, peace and purpose of
Jesus Christ."
The 39ers meet in the Salt House on the second Tuesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. for a Bible study and covered dish lunch here at the church. The 39ers also engage in ministry opportunities, games, crafts and other activities on these days.
The Forerunners meet on the second
Thursday evening of each month at 6:30 p.m. for a covered dish dinner. Dinner
is followed with a guest speaker/singer, games and other ministry activities. (NOTE:
Our dinners are usually in the Family Life Center, but we will be meeting
in the Salt House during the Kitchen/FLC renovation.)
We are blessed to be able to meet, eat and take a day trip every now and then and other times enjoy a guest speaker or entertainment. For some, this is the extent of our social life but that's only a part of the blessings we receive. The real blessings come from aiding each other and others in times of need, ministering in nursing homes and to those who are homebound. Hospital visits aren't off limits, but we probably get more than we give since travel is an issue for some.
Worship Services at Area Assisted Living Centers - Our church now has three assisted
living centers/nursing homes for which we are
conducting worship services. We
need song leaders, keyboardists,
testimonies, special music, and
teachers -- as well as anyone who will come to just love on the people. Our services at the Christian
Care Center in Ashland City are every
Tuesdays at 10 a.m. We meet at Grace
Healthcare Center in Whites Creek
every third Tuesday at 2 p.m., and we
have nine Sundays throughout the
year at Golden Living in
Springfield. The next one is March
6 at 2:30 p.m.
Our monthly schedule and planned upcoming events/activities for senior adults are listed below. (Note: If you need transportation to any of these events, please call the church office and let us know.)

If you are interested in sewing and would like to join us, please contact Peggy at 876-2525. If you don't sew, you can help by donating new or gently used pillow cases, or even sheets. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated.
We have a couple of ongoing fundraisers in which everyone can participate.
If you shop at Kroger you can help by using a Kroger gift card to pay for your
purchases. You can get one of these gift cards from the church office and use
it just like a credit or debit card when you do your grocery shopping, and
Kroger will donate to the church 4 percent of all purchases made with the card.
Another thing that we do to raise money for the church is Aluminum Can Recycling. Save your aluminum cans and deposit them in the bin behind the Family Life Center. The proceeds go toward many church related projects. Recycling is becoming a way of life with us today, make it profitable to our cause by
bringing your cans to the church.
Cookbook - As a special project in 2009, we collected recipes from church members and produced a new churchwide
cookbook and made it available for a donation of $10.00. These books contain 450 recipes and will make wonderful gifts for birthdays, weddings, Christmas, etc. There are only a few copies left — contact the church office to get yours today!
