This past year, we created a Missions Committee, the purpose/function of which is to:
educate the church body about the existing missions of our church;
inform the church about current and future missions endeavors and how the church body can be involved (corporately and as individuals);
lend assistance to those participating in missions endeavors, whether by way of funding, resources, prayer, etc.;
oversee current missions projects and make recommendations concerning time frames (determining when certain projects should end);
pray, research and make recommendations for future missions projects; and
evaluate proposed new mission projects. (NOTE: To be considered a "mission" of FBCJ, the proposed project must include: evangelizing people outside of our church, i.e. evangelizing and going.)
