His Helping Hands Craft Ministry

His Helping Hands

   A Ministry for Crafters
   Meets on Thursday afternoons
   from 2 - 5 p.m. in Room 1105

Do you enjoy crafts? Do you like to create things with your hands? Would you like the opportunity to fellowship with and share ideas with other crafters? If so, we hope you'll take part in our crafting ministry called His Helping Hands. The mission of this ministry will be to share with each other in Christian fellowship and create items to uplift people in our community for the glory of God. Our plan is to work along side other ministries of the church, (e.g. the card ministry, prison ministry, women's ministry, shut-ins, etc.) using our artistic/crafting abilities to create some little something that will brighten a day for those who need it. In the process, we hope to learn new crafting skills, get to know other crafters, and welcome new friends to our community and church.

We meet in Room 1105 on Thursday afternoons from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. to work on projects for a ministry, ourselves, or both. This ministry is open to everyone who enjoys creating things with their hands (women, men, teens). Join us for fellowship and fun, while we create new items each week.

There are many talented people in our church and community, so we hope anyone who wants to praticipate will do so. We are just starting this ministry and are open to ideas and suggestions. We are also looking for people to teach classes. If you do a particular craft and would be willing to teach others, please contact Linda Carol Royalty at 615-876-4643 or by email.

The church will not be funding this ministry.  We are looking for donations of craft items. In the case where a teacher has to buy products to do a class, there will be a small charge for the materials for those who take the class. It is our desire to be a self-sustaining ministry. For example, we are currently collecting old greeting/Christmas cards!! Please save them for the His Helping Hands Ministry. Bring them to the church office or contact Linda Carol Royalty if you have some to donate.

If you have questions or would like to share ideas/suggestions for His Helping Hands, please contact Linda Carol Royalty at 615-876-4643 or by email, Carol Batson at 931-320-6463, or Sherri Culwell at 615-712-9412.
