 Sundays Mornings at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.When asked if only few would be saved (Luke 13: 22-28), Jesus explained that while many would attempt to enter the "narrow gate" (heaven) only a few would gain access, even among those who had eaten with him and listened to his teachings. He was speaking about the church. How many church members will find themselves knocking at the door to heaven, only to be turned away because they never had a real relationship with Christ; because He never knew them? In the parables told by Jesus in Matthew, chapters 24 and 25, He spoke of His return and the importance of being ready. The parables of the faithful servant and the evil servant, the wise and foolish virgins, and the talents all carry the same theme: genuine and faithful servants of God will be rewarded, and hypocrites will be punished. He spoke of returning as a shepherd who would separate the sheep (the saved) from the goats (the unsaved). Which are you -- a sheep or a goat? Do you know if you have been genuinely saved? Think about what makes you a Christian -- and don't use such words as church member, good or baptized. Read Luke 9 and make note of the requirements Jesus gave as prerequisites to following Him.
