The education ministry of First Baptist Church Joelton exists to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to teach and study the Scripture of God's Holy Word, and to minister to the needs of those around us. It is through the small group Bible study fellowship opportunities traditionally known as Sunday School that individuals can come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, be encouraged in their relationship with Him, build lasting relationships with others, and find a place of ministry. In accordance with the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), which instructs, "Therefore go and make disciples," we offer discipleship courses through our DiscipleLife Ministry. These courses, offered in September and January further encourage, educate, and challenge individuals in their relationship as a disciple of Christ.

DiscipleLife - Classes Offered in the Fall and Spring
Matthew 28:19-20 states, "Therefore go and make disciples..." We are a church that takes this verse very seriously. Not only do we desire to see individuals come into a saving relationship with Christ, we encourage everyone to steadily grow in their relationship with Christ. That is why we offer these opportunities of discipleship. Regularly attending a worship service or Sunday School class does not make one a disciple. A disciple is one who individually and continually seeks to grow in their faith and relationship with Christ through study of God's Word and other helps, and responds to the direction or change that God produces in their life. Each fall and winter/spring we offer a variety of classes that will hopefully encourage you in your relationship as a follower of Christ. It is our desire that you will take advantage of these excellent opportunities of discipleship.
