 September 21 at 12:30 p.m. in the Family Life CenterThe First Grade Bible Luncheon will be held September 21 at 12:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center (after the 11 a.m. worship service). This event is for all incoming first graders and their families. First grade is when we as a church begin teaching basic Bible skills such as the books of the Bible, chapter location and how to locate specific verses. We have found that many of these children traditionally do not have a full Bible. To assist them with the development of Bible skills, on this day we will be presenting each incoming first grader with a full Bible and a First Baptist Church Bible Book Bag. Each Bible will contain a book plate with the child's name, and they will be presented by Bro. David. In addition to the Bibles being presented, each child and their family will be treated to lunch.
